Yesterday,I watched Oprah show together with my sisters.
Interestingly,Oprah was discussing about how people (in particular;women) around the world perceived beauty.
1.Brazil = the women there, spent almost half of their earnings for cosmetics including cosmetic surgery.
They even have small2 shops like saloon providing so called"physical-improvement" services.
These shops are targetting small-income women as they can provide services at a cheaper price.
2.Iran= this is a bit shocking to me. The women there like to do "nose-job"!
They are even proud of having plasters on their nose so as to show people that they've did a nose-job.
Iranian women who talked on the phone with Oprah said that,
Her professor wore plasters on her nose for 2 years.Plasters on the nose also signify status.
3.Mauritania = this is so interesting!
The Men there like fat women! One of the man even said that,he won't trade a fat women with a thin women.
(One bad practice is that,they force feed young girls who are thin with camel's milk and whatnots grains as to ensure that the girl will grow fat)
However,the men need to be thin.Or else,they have to lose their weight.
Not only that,widow are hotter than anak dara ye!
Whatever it is people's perceptions on beauty is so unlimited!
ALLAH have promised to those who obey HIM and do good deeds for HIS sake will be granted with heavens.
